A CHORUS LINE cast Full Run Through

All senior students cast in A Chorus Line are required for a full run through rehearsal at 10:30am - 1pm item about? 

PHOTOS & EXTENDED REHEARSAL

All students return to Fusion after Easter Break for regular classes.

A Chorus Line cast are called to arrive at 10:15am for their publicity photoshoot for A Chorus Line.

Our fabulous photographer, Andy Brown, is in on the 30th April 10:30am-12:30pm to take photos of rehearsals and some group character shots (and new headshots for the whole cast).

Please can all students come to rehearsal with their hair and makeup in an appropriate character style (sorry to put this on you and parents but we want to make the most of rehearsal time so can’t spend very long on hair and make-up). All cast need to wear their character costumes (not the black or gold costumes) for the main publicity photograph. To ensure continuity, please make sure you have sourced and finalised your costume by that point. If you are still unaware what your character costume is then please get in touch as soon as possible.

EXTENDED REHEARSAL

In order to ensure our show is as polished as possibly, as usual we will be extending our final rehearsals beyond 1:30pm. This will be at no extra cost to parents. 

A CHORUS LINE TECH/DRESS REHEARSAL

All students are expected straight after school at 4-4:30pm. We envisage rehearsal finishing no later than 9:30pm. Please come with your hair off your face, any costume you are providing, a packed tea and plenty of water.

A Chorus Line

A Chorus Line takes a backstage look into one day in the lives of thirteen dancers, auditioning for a place in the “chorus line” of a new Broadway musical. After the first round of cuts, Zach, the director, asks each dancer to speak about themselves. Within in the revelations of growing up pains, broken homes, body changes and embarrassing stories, the audience begins to see each dancer’s bright personality and individuality. Tension mounts when Cassie, once both a big star and the director's lover but now desperate for a part, auditions too. But Zach must choose only what is best for his show. 

Based on real Broadway dancers’ stories, as told to fellow dancer andchoreographer Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line is funny, heartbreaking, and refreshingly honest taking the audience on a journey behind the closed curtain of what goes on before a musical is on stage.
